Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookie                              Makes 8 Cookies

1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ Cup Sugar
½ Cup Coconut Oil
½ Cup Chocolate Chips
1 Egg
½ Teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ Teaspoon Salt

In a large bowl combine the sugar, coconut oil, whole wheat flour, egg, baking powder, and salt.  Add the chocolate chips last.   Continue mixing until the ingredients are all incorporated.   Portion the dough using a 2 ounce level disher scoop.  Place the balls of dough on a baking tray line with either a piece of parchment paper or brown paper bag.   Refrigerate the dough while the oven preheats to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.  Bake for 14 minutes or just until it’s slightly set.
