Rye Bread

1 Cup Rye Flour
½ Cup Warm Milk
2 ¼ Teaspoon Yeast
½ Tablespoon Butter
½ Tablespoon Molasses
½ Teaspoon Salt
+ ¼ Cup Flour, ¼ Cup Corn Meal

In a large bowl combine the yeast with the warm water, honey, sugar, butter and milk.  Mix the flour with the salt and then add it to the wet ingredients and combine for 8 minutes by hand or 4 minutes with an electric mixer and dough hook.  Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.  Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Form the dough into a ball and then flatten it.  Dust the dough with flour. Spread corn meal on a baking tray and lay the loaf on it.  Bake for 22 minutes or until dark brown.

One time I turned the rye dough into a loaf and rolled it in wet seaweed nori wrapper, then baked it.  It made nice looking bread slices.
