Quick Bread                                          

1 Cup All Purpose Flour
½ Cup Milk
¼ Cup Vegetable Shortening
¼ Cup Sugar
6 Tablespoon Egg
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ Teaspoon Salt

In a large bowl beat the sugar into the butter then add the egg then the milk.  Continue mixing for several minutes on a low speed with an electric mixer.  Combine the flour with the salt.  Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  Portion the batter into a muffin pan and bake for 20 minutes until doubled in size and its edges are golden brown.
